Duty may be payable on international orders
When international orders are shipped there may be import duty payable by our customers.
We have no control over the duty that may be charged.
Insurance - covering loss/damage in transit
Freight companies are classified as general carriers and therefore do not cover damage or loss of goods in transit. While they take the utmost care, they do not cover these situations with insurance. We have selected freight companies that we believe offer the best service possible to minimize these problems. We can also supply a tracking service.
Backorders
We do not accept backorders. The website will advise if an item is not available. Shipping will be calculated on your order as placed, after deleting 'out of stock' items. As soon as the information is available the website will show the ETA of each 'out of stock' item.
Returns
Any item that you deem to be defective needs to be returned to us for inspection unless otherwise arranged. We recommend that you email yarn@josharp.com to discuss the issue before returning any goods. Jo Sharp will pay all freight of defective items only. If you purchased the item from an outlet other than our website, you need to discuss the issue with that outlet. The outlet in question will in turn contact us to resolve any issues. If you contact us directly and you have purchased goods from a different outlet, we will direct you to that outlet.
Availability
Most items listed on the website are usually in stock or an ETA is advised alongside the item. If any item you order and pay for turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you and discuss other options before dispatching the order. The delay for re-stocking is usually around 2 – 3 weeks, however the wait can be longer on imported items due to manufacturers production and/or shipping schedules around the world that are out of our control. If the information you need is not posted on the website, please call us for more information.

Measurements and specifications are supplied as an approximate guide. No responsibility is accepted for variations from information supplied on the Jo Sharp website or in the Jo Sharp catalogue. All photographs and illustrations are only intended as a guide and products can change without notice. All items shown in pictures or illustrations with the main product are deemed to be accessories or props and are not included in the sale price of the main item unless expressly stated.
Suitability
The purchaser must satisfy themselves as to the suitability of any product for the intended use before purchase and information provided by the staff of Jo Sharp Pty Ltd may not alter this condition of sale. It is always the customer's responsibility to ask any questions prior to making their purchase and to have, or cause themselves to have, the required level of skill and dexterity and tools necessary to work on the projects selected. We endeavour to estimate yarn volumes for projects, however we are not responsible if you require additional yarn to complete your project. Yarn volumes can vary due to differences in knitting styles. Please be aware of this when ordering.
Government Taxes
All prices on this website include the 10% Australian Goods and Services tax.
International orders will have GST deducted on the final invoice, although during shopping, GST will show.
